|AP Statistics added to TPS 2017-18 courses!|
We’re pleased to present our new AP Statistics teacher, Miss Amelia Chan. We are privileged to have Amelia join the TPS team. She is a highly qualified math teacher and excited to teach this course — please review her bio below.
For now we have added one section Monday+Wednesday at 9:45 am US ET, a time slot that is accessible to most students worldwide. We can add more if needed as this section fills, and try to serve more time zones as well.
Amelia Chan earned her M.A. degree in Mathematics from Columbia University in New York, as well as a B.A. degree in both Mathematics and Statistics from the University of California, Berkeley. She has worked as an investment banker, financial software engineer, and actuarial consultant. She has experience as a math educator both in private and group settings. It is her passion to help students of all ages see God through mathematics by understanding and appreciating the many different facets of math. Amelia has also taken courses at Fuller Theological Seminary and served at her church in evangelism, discipleship training, Bible studies, campus ministry, young adults ministry, new believer ministry and prayer ministry. Her other interests include reading, playing piano, singing jazz, independent movies, museums, good food and deep conversation with friends.
